We’re Building a Studio!

When I started photography 10 years ago, I had a vision in my head of creating beautiful portraiture art for families and working to bless the lives of others with memories in photographs. It was so much work getting started! I graduated from college and continued my education with workshops and online classes, learning and getting better with each session. After my daughter was born 3.5 years ago, I decided that babies and families were the sessions I loved most. I recognized I needed a studio space and my husband David, who is my number one cheerleader and business partner, and I decided to sell the condo we had and rent a house with a spot I could use for a studio. Commercial spaces were out of reach for me at that point, but I knew I needed a space I could make beautiful images in. We ended up on Gooch Hill Rd and I have been so happy to have this space! We took a leap of faith when we moved and doubled our rent and we just crossed our fingers it would prove to be a good decision.

Here we are, almost 4 years later and I am so humbled at how Ashley Dawn Photography has grown and all the families that I am blessed to share these moments with. I have outgrown the space I currently have and it was time to take another leap, this time into a commercial space. We found the perfect spot! A place my business can feel settled and I can serve clients the way I need to and want to. I am so excited! We closed on the space on May 10th and have been busy! So, without further ado, here it is!

The floor was so wavy and uneven so the first thing we did was pour a new one! David’s dad and brother came over to Bozeman to help with the framing. Thank you to them! The framing, plumbing, and electric are all good to go. We passed the framing inspection today so we’re onto the next step! Sheetrock should go up next week and I can’t wait to see walls all in. I’m so excited to have this new space ready to go in about a month. There will be a grand opening, likely in July. So look out for all the fun updates on the space!
