Weddings are so fun. They’re lively and exciting and beautiful and wonderful. I am a total sentimental sap and I love what happens at a wedding. It’s so amazing to find the one person you want to share the rest of your life with and make a formal commitment to them where you invite those you care about most to share it with you. What a treat it has been to capture these precious memories for families.
Even with all the wonderful things weddings are, I have come to a point in my business where I am experiencing so much growth in babies, families, and seniors. These sessions are my jam. My happy place with portraits is after the wedding is over and daily life sets in and families grow.
I am a wife to a crazy amazing guy and a mom to two amazing kids. Weddings are on the weekends all summer long, and I am finding this time to be especially precious now that my son is in school. I need to be present with my family in this life that goes so insanely fast. Stepping away from weddings allows me more time to be the mom I want be and have more weekends to make memories with my family. The better I feel as a mom and a wife, the better photographer I am; and the better I can serve my clients too!
We are nearly finished building the new studio! It’s going to be such an incredible place for babies and seniors to come for sessions. I am always trying to perfect the experience that clients have with me when they choose me for their portraits. You are all such a blessing to me and I am totally in love with what I do.
I will miss the weddings that are so sweet and the couples that are so kind and creating beautiful images of brides in their wedding gowns. But this is the best thing I can do for my family and for my business. I am so excited for the future of Ashley Dawn Photography! We have been growing so much as families search for luxury newborn and family portraiture and I am honored to be chosen to capture these moments.
A heartfelt thank you to all the brides and grooms that have chosen me for their big day. And as I finish my edits and prepare to deliver the last wedding I photographed in July, I am thrilled to have gone out on such a high.
